Thai songs "im-in-to" Lately

I found myself loving thai songs now! yeh..:)

Lately, im trying to lead worship in Thai. As a worship leader, with a congregation of Thai, i realized that there is really a need to learn the language.

We are encouraged by our Pastor to practice  thai songs so when it is our turn to lead the worship, we can use it. I think his suggestion is right since if we will be singing songs in english, specially if we present new songs and the members can't understand, then, where is the worship there now and even the leading?

At first, honestly i was struggling with some reasons:

1. I can't pronounce well the words..DIFFICULTy in pronouncing the words is frustrating at times..:)
-one word that is wrong, or even syllable, it changes the meaning...which i think it will be funny to hear for sure...

-but, here is the thing...practice makes perfect... well, for sure i didn't really get it perfect everytime i sing, even now, but for sure, practice makes me better... :))

so, the solution is... PRACTICE always... :)

2. I can't understand what i'm saying... Unless you understand the song that you are singing, then for me, it's somekind i am just performing, im not worshipping and for that i miss the chance ushering people in worshipping the living God as well.

-what i do keep doing is, i need to understand the song deep in my heart when i sing it in english, so i will be ready when i will sing it in Thai.

-and..... i keep asking what does this certain word mean in english so when i encounter this word on the next song, then i can relate on it already. By repitition method, :) i learned to understand what im singing.

Regardless of these struggles, when our hearts are willing to be used by God, there He will have a chance to move in our behalf.

Important thing is asking help from God. He is ready to help...without His moving, there isn't any worship, it will be somehow a noise only.

Let me share these videos in thai i have in my youtube... Glory to God!

1.Rooftops by Jesus Culture

2. Hope of All Hearts by Planetshakers

3. Set a Fire by Jesus Culture

4. Love Came Down by Kari Jobe

5. This is my Desire by the Hillsongs

Oh by the way I got these translation through the help of "Whann", one of my friends in the church. Without her patience in telling me the lyrics of these songs so i can write it using the English phonics... :)) then, i can't sing these... im still trying to study how to read thai .. :)) And not only that, she was my critic as i rehearsed all these songs...
So, a much thanks to her! :)

God bless!
