My First Try Singing a Thai Song

I've been here in Thailand for more than 3 years. I am grateful to God for bringing me in this place and allowing me to meet more friends and more challenges.

Speaking of challenges! One of them, is the language in Thailand...mmmh... I find it really difficult. But praise God, at least this time I get better..for sure,..hahah..

Yeh! And I am so happy and so blessed to lead the worship last Sunday in Thai! I mean the songs are in Thai... :)) I still spoke in English to the people...:))

Allow me to share this song "Kwamrak Tee" to you...one of the songs we sang last Sunday. This is the first Thai Song that I learned... thanks to my friend Wann in the church who helped me so i could learn this song! :)

Honestly, I don't understand all of those...some of the words? yeh I do...but mostly, I don't! :(

But the good thing... when I found this song in YouTube, it has a subtitle in English..so I tried to sing it in English where I could really understand...and again I am so blessed on this..

30th of June has a bad memory to me. But i believe that my past didn't define my future! I believe that God has changed us from glory to glory, and those painful moments are now just considered as lessons in life.

Well, instead of recalling and pitying myself to what had happened in the past, I just thank God for not giving up on me. His love is always there and is always amazing to me. He indeed saved me from my darkest moments in life and He does and for sure He will be!

I thank God for the joy that i felt this afternoon after church... i just felt relieved... and the more i felt it when we sang this song, "You're all that I need" which is composed by Ate Renee! She just made this song, and i am really blessed on this... specially this time!

MY FAMILY

Hello guys! It's been a while..

I know this is a bit late already but just allow me to share how great and how awesome is our God into our lives.

got so busy while enjoying my time together with my family and friends last month of April.

i am very much thankful to God for allowing my whole family to be together and just had fun together here in Thailand and in Malaysia.

Last April 11, I, Karisse and my sister Joy went to Malaysia to meet my father, my mother, my other sister who is next to me, my niece Charity and one of my mentors and my spiritual father, Pastor Billy Daquigan.

We had our wonderful time in Malaysia with the hospitality of Kuya Peter and Ate Janet together with their kids, Schancker and Samantha. Staying for 4 days in Malaysia was really amazing! Enjoying the coolness of Genting High lands, Swimming at Sunway Lagoon, strolling at big Malls (Subang Parade, Empire Gallery, Citta and of course the Sunway Pyramid), watching and taking pictures in the Petronas Twin Towers-the twin skycrapers of Malaysia, eating Malaysian food, staring those gigantic and very stunning buildings made our stay as a family so memorable in that country. Aside from that, i should not forget how happy and blessed we were when we had our Sunday Worship at Acts Church and the "evaluation-talks" with Kuya Peter on his line, "What's the highlight of your trip?".....:)) Wonderful time indeed...

The rest of the days were spent in Thailand. Riding a train from Malaysia going to this country really made them more excited! Here in Thailand, my family attended two summer camps-The Family Camp and the YES-Youth Camp where in my father and Pastor Billy were the speakers and lecturers.  We visited some places like Songkhla Zoo, Ton Nga Chang Waterfalls, Samila Beach, Dragon Head, Hatyai Park, the floating market in Hatyai, and some temples where there are very big statues of Buddhist stuff, and of course our school Pakdi Suksa Foundation School where we are working as teachers here in Thailand.

I am grateful that God had used people to bless us so we could enjoy more our time together, just like the Sajolan Family, who always with us and drove us to the different places and am also thankful that the church allowed us to use the van! :) and i am so much grateful as well as to our employer for her kindness! May God continue to bless these people who did not hesitate to bless us... words aren't enough to express our thanks to all of you...

Joining the 2 camps as family was really a blessing to us. I praise God for the warm welcome and hospitality of our brothers and sisters at the Cornerstone Chapel Hadyai headed by our Pastors, Ajarn Simon and Ajarn Liz, specially during the family camp. And how can i forget Sathing Purah Beach Resort, the venue of the Youth Camp? Although we were only few, but God had moved to the lives of the youth and even to us as family. We Praise God for all the things that He has done!

They went back to the Philippines last April 29 and though we miss them so much, still i am thankful for that short time that we were together.

The laughs that we had would always be cherished into hearts! I give God all the the honor and praises into His Mighty Name, JESUS!

Don't Be Afraid

Isaiah 41:10
fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

As i contimplate God's word tonight, He reminds me on His promises in that verse Isaih 41:10.

Two ways we shouldn't Do:

FEAR NOT and  BE NOT DISMAYED!

with five reasons:

-God is with us
-He is our God
-He will strengthen us
-He will help us
-He will uphold us with His right hand

Isn't it comforting?

We coudn't deny the fact, people always have FEARS!
- fear of rejection
- fear of pain
- fear of ridicule
-fear of failure
- fear of death
-fear of loneliness
- fear of sufferings
- fear of death
- fear of...... etc....

when we have fears then we DISMAYED!- depressed or discouraged

but when we are in Christ, we should not stick to this emotion but instead, we should lay it down to God for He gave this as command to us. DO NOT FEAR, DO NOT BE DISMAYED! For He is there for us.. Our God who is willing to help us, who will always uphold us when we feel that we are cast down has given these promises and all we have to do is to claim these into our lives.

Whatever situation you are right now, be still! We are in good hands... We have a GREAT and a GOOD GOD.

So cheer up! :)

God is Faithful

Psalm 108:4
4 For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

9 God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.

There were many times i felt depressed in this life but i am always encouraged to hold on through these promises of God. "He is Faithful" and "He never leaves us nor forsakes us.

 As this verse goes,

Deuteronomy 31:6

⁶ Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Let me share to you this song that God has empressed to me when i felt down. May you be blessed and be encouraged that our God is always faithful to us, so we should not lose heart.

Sunrise at Samila Beach

Glad to be back here.. mmh got some problem on the "lappy" that im using in making blogs.

Anyway, last Saturday morning was a very nice experience to me. Together with my friends in the church, we went to Samila beach. We had our morning devotion there while watching the sunrise ..a very NICE sunrise. Wonderful place to praise God and meditate His goodness and faithfulness into our lives.

After singing songs of worship, we had the chance to take some videos for our dance then had some pictorials for some documentations of our outfits????? :))))
